Downhill Racer

Robert Redford is a professional skier who leaves his life behind to pursue his dream of winning Olympic Gold, often at the price of personal relationships. What follows is a pretty uninteresting and flat drama (with few frills or surprises) that sacrifices story in favor of decent skiing footage. Redford has to be the most arrogant lead I've seen in a movie for a long time; Gene Hackman, who has so small a part you could consider it a cameo, is the only standout performer (as Redford's tolerant coach).
