Rush Hour 2
Director: Brett Ratner
Year Released: 2001
Rating: 1.0
Accusations of racism and ugliness in this action pic are downright foolish: this film is so meaningless and disposable that I can't fathom it saying anything worth paying attention to (not to mention the loathsome "I killed your father" speeches by John Lone). More a TV movie than an actual movie (except with a little more violence); Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan argue over their differences in culture while whooping international terrorist baddies, befriending a luscious US Agent and yes, making the world a less dangerous, more clichéd place. The outtakes are better than the movie - perhaps the two should be switched around.
