This slice of hipster life - in one of the more open-minded parts of Texas - documents the incessant stammering and general un-exciting-ness of the 'existences' of twin sisters (Tilly Hatcher and Maggie Hatcher): the one has an interest in going to Africa and the other is preoccupied by a squabble with an investor in their co-owned thrift shop (people who own thrift shops sue each other?!). Could pretty much be started and/or stopped at any point and you'd get the gist: the 'approach' is so laid-back it actually seems to be a decent 'reflection' of what might be called 'real life' but it's also, in a way, purposeless and annoyingly random as a 'film.' At the very least, it's a major step up from the last Bujalski I saw, Funny Ha Ha - neither are funny or dramatic, so it's probably best to think of them as pseudo-documentaries about consistently indecisive 30-somethings. Or something like that.
