Bernardo cribs Godard (and Dostoyevsky ... and Artaud) ... to little success. A drama instructor (Pierre Clémenti) creates an alternate persona for himself and has conversations with it - this 'double' is considerably more aggressive than his 'real' self. Not much goes on, actually - there are your handful of transgressive moments (aggressive kissing in the backseat of a car, fooling around with a young lady by a washing machine) to go with the didactic speeches and boorish political complaints (Vietnam gets the ol' thumbs down). Boo, capitalism, boo, culture, boo, etc.
