Zombieland

Ah, another meta-zombie movie, like Shaun of the Dead, where the inhabitants are well-versed in the rules of Combating the Undead (see, it can be rewarding and instructional to spend all that blessed free time staring at a screen!) ... yet they still make dumb mistakes, like going to a bright, shiny Amusement Park. Timid Jesse Eisenberg teams up with raucous Woody Harrelson, they shoot incredibly speedy dead folk (atrophy? what's that?), drive around, meet Bill Murray, get conned by two broads (Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin) and then shoot more incredibly speedy dead folk. At least Romero tried to make his movies 'mean' something about fear and loneliness and human nature ... these filmmakers grew up on those pictures but only remember to bring the makeup kits and cameras. William Goldman had something to do with the script, which is good for a laugh.
