Forgetting Sarah Marshall

One more adventure in the Strange World of Judd Apatow: Loser guy (Jason Segal) gets dumped by blonde TV star with killer abs (pixie Kristen Bell) and goes to Hawaii alone (??) to work out his demons, but she just happens to be there as well. The plot is by-the-numbers as he goes through the recovery process, with the 'flair' coming courtesy of plenty of risqué language and some flat visual gags (the fake orgasm scene is particularly lame and Segal's "Dracula" song is only amusing the first time he does it); as eye-candy, Bell is far more charming on her talk-show appearances and love interest Mila Kunis is basically there to bat her eyes and smile. I liked writer/star Jason Segal in Freaks and Geeks, but he doesn't come across as leading man material (in fact, he seems to be trying to do Ben Stiller in the Heartbreak Kid remake) and is easily upstaged by quick-witted British import Russell Brand and the ever-reliable Paul Rudd.
