A French capitalist (Pascal Greggory) becomes obsessed with one of his workers, an orphaned Moroccan girl (Najat Benssallem) and makes his a job out of trying to get her into his bed, but she's stubborn and resists. Her appeal isn't evident - she is neither attractive nor charming - and he's a scummy creep who attempts to buy her will, so it's a case of cruel chasing homely, rich abusing poor, colonialist manipulating slave. I'm not convinced it adds much to any potential discussion about colonialism, nor about what motivates the Frenchman (when he can buy and sell virtually anyone) to chase this nasty girl, but it does show the lengths an older man will go just to have sex with someone much younger than himself.
