Cousin, Cousine

Director: Jean-Charles Tacchella
Year Released: 1975
Rating: 0.0

Pathetic soap-opera movie, with two dimwitted people (cousins) sneaking behind their spouses backs, eating pastries, and pondering as to whether or not they should sleep together. All this is presented in the most drawn out way, with only periodic stabs at "humor" (it's allegedly a comedy) and minimal characterization (everyone's bit is cardboard thin). It's a wannabe-bawdy romp with characters that think they're rebellious, but in all actually they probably play bingo on Saturday night with the rest of us. That I managed to sit through this should earn me bonus points, or possibly a free trip to Cannes.
