Famous shlock horror picture, short on logic, quality special effects, dialogue ("BOOYYYY!") and acting has lanky mortician The Tall Man (played by Angus Scrimm) helping his business along by killing people and making them his slaves. For all its aforementioned faults there are elements that have allowed Coscarelli to make several sequels and earned fan support - namely, a cool villain, cool weapons (metallic spheres that fly around and drill holes in people) and lots of "Boo!" moments. Horror fans: they're fairly easy to please.
