Part three of the Disney Cash Cow, and yes, the mainstream critics are correct: it's overlong and overly complicated. That's not to say there aren't good things in there - Depp is fine as always as the half-drunk Jack Sparrow (even without the rum) and his 'hallucination' in Davy Jones' Locker is one of the picture's major highlights (right along with the wild and unexpected ending). Still, I can't foresee a day in which I'll ever watch this again, and the gentleman who left the theater telling his wife that he needs to "see it again" to "sort it out" didn't realize there is really nothing to sort. It's popcorn movie bloatware: throw money at the screen for big effects, make people think the ticket price was worth it.
