X-Men: The Last Stand
Director: Brett Ratner
Year Released: 2006
Rating: 1.5
Uninspired third piece to an otherwise uninspired series - Ratner, taking over for Bryan Singer, appears content to repeat the same ol' homosexual slant (it's always been blatantly obvious) and unleash the same kind of Dragonball Z-type world destruction. Notable for 'killing off' (either permanent or temporary) a sizeable number of its major characters (some ... die, some get 'cured' of their mutant-ness), but just like Marvel needs to sell more comics, so too the producers need to sell more sequels, allowing for the resurrection of pretty much everybody (which is cheap, but this really is just a glorified sci-fi mini-series).
