Snakes on a Plane
Director: David R. Ellis
Year Released: 2006
Rating: 1.0
Obvious 'in-joke' movie about countless poisonous reptiles that are, indeed, set loose on an aircraft, inciting panic and death. I suppose since I am neither afraid of snakes nor planes - and that I did not see this in the movie theater with an audience consisting of fourteen-year-olds - the full effect is no doubt lost on me, although I'd like to say that aside from the snakes, this is a routine airplane-in-peril picture, not unlike, say, Turbulence. The 'hype' generated by the Internet didn't really generate the profits they expected - I'm guessing the target audience (the aforementioned fourteen-year-olds) are more content stealing the DVD-rip off the very same Internet. Somebody, somewhere, has got to be sick of those motherfucking kids on that motherfucking BitTorrent.
