Sólo con Tu Pareja
Director: Alfonso Cuarón
Year Released: 1991
Rating: 2.0
Sex farce about a horny ad-writer who has nothing but trouble with the women he beds: his (female) boss fires him, his (female) neighbor tempts him and his (female) nurse decides that since she wasn't satisfied by him sexually, she's going to report that he has AIDS. It strikes me as Cuarón's attempt to do Almodóvar, and he's not fantastic at it - you can argue that over sixteen years later, he still hasn't developed much of a personal 'style,' jumping from kiddie projects (A Little Princess, his Harry Potter entry) to adult projects (Y Tu Mamá También). This is frantic and silly and unsatisfying.
