Sarah Silverman: Jesus Is Magic

Director: Liam Lynch
Year Released: 2005
Rating: 1.0

Sarah Silverman is quick witted, sarcastic and sexy - a devastating trio - but you wouldn't know by this poorly made movie, which has too many skits and songs that cut into her stand-up routine, which seems oddly familiar (I believe I've heard her do a lot of these bits in other places over the years). Director Lynch, generally known as a musician (his "My United States of Whatever" was a hit), doesn't have much experience as a director (his TV show, "Sifl & Olly" was supposed to look poorly made and silly) and it shows. I mean, if "The Blue Collar Comedy Tour" boys can duct tape a better product together, something's desperately wrong.
