All-too-brief and unimaginative rethink of the Chicken Little story, only this time the sky actually is falling, and the falling piece belongs to a class of upset aliens. The clichéd baseball and alien invasion elements (the latter a yawn-worthy combination of The Matrix and War of the Worlds) fail to generate even a smile, and this is really a poorly packaged Message Movie to parents about making sure you listen to kids when they tell you that Uncle whoever touched them in bad places, that they didn't cheat on the test in school and that the clouds of smoke in the room are not from a joint, but spontaneous combustion. Joan Cusack's V.O. work as the ugly duckling is slightly redeeming.
