One of the little known facts about me is that I'm a Bond Obsessive and have been ever since I was very young - instead of watching Saturday morning cartoons, I used to rent and watch and re-watch the early Bond movies (stopping after Never Say Never Again which I owned on VHS tape and must have seen over two dozen times). This has always been one of my least favorites, to be honest - tacky special effects, ineffectual Bond girl, ridiculous over-plotting - although Sean Connery as 007 (like Cary Grant as Cary Grant) is, to me, the essence of sophisticated cool. Call it a guilty pleasure, then, because despite complaints, I can't stop watching it.
