The Grey Fox
Director: Phillip Borsos
Year Released: 1982
Rating: 2.0
After years in jail, Bill Miner, a famous stagecoach robber, is freed but can't adapt to the real world, so he returns to his old life of crime. Richard Farnsworth adds every droplet of life and spirit to this since director Borsos doesn't, and the script doesn't give him a lot to work with: the romantic scenes are touching not because they're well written, but because the actors make them work. It wants to be moody but only winds up murky.
