Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story
Director: Rawson Marshall Thurber
Year Released: 2004
Rating: 1.0
It's self-defeating to construct any kind of worthwhile opinion about a movie so purposely disposable, so the less said about this puerile 'comedy' the better (it's like Ski School or those B-comedies that popped up during odd hours years ago on HBO or play censored on the USA Network). Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn have a few decent lines, but Rip Torn as the crippled coach of an underachieving dodgeball team steals what there is of the show. Dodgeball, I'd like to add, has been banned in some gym classes here in the United States, and it's a good thing too, as Hank Azaria's 'educational' speech makes clear.
