King of the Hill

Director: Steven Soderbergh
Year Released: 1993
Rating: 2.0

Some aspects of the movie are outstanding: the one with the main character, Aaron (played by Jesse Bradford) and an epileptic girl is done well and tastefully, Aaron's story about Charles Lindbergh story is creative and some of the performances are interesting, like Spalding Gray as an enigmatic old man and Adrien Brody as Aaron's older friend. But other aspects don't gel: the bellboy and the fat cop are way over-the-top and a lot of the dialogue and scenarios seem corny and out of place (I wasn't impressed with Bradford's performance). Plus, there's a forced 'happy' ending that doesn't feel right.
