Road to Bali
Director: Hal Walker
Year Released: 1952
Rating: 1.5
Hope and Crosby venture to Bali to deep-sea dive for treasure and save a Princess that they both want to marry. It's kind of like the Austin Powers of its day - filled with in-jokes and (then) contemporary commentary, puns and dry humor; it's also significantly less funny than some of its predecessors (Road to Morocco for one), trotting out other celebrities and tired sight gags. As expected, the best part is the constant witty banter between the two stars.
