Viva Las Vegas
Director: George Sidney
Year Released: 1964
Rating: 0.5
Elvis goes to Las Vegas to participate in the Grand Prix and finds equal chances to (a.) dance and (b.) woo Ann-Margret. Consistently stupid 'comedy' that capitalized on 'King' of Rock n Roll's fame and mass appeal - it's a well-known fact he didn't like the movies he was in (mostly because they weren't very good) but Col. Tom Parker made him do them. He seems more comfortable singing than whispering sweet nothings - he was an entertainer and certainly not an actor.
