Finger of Guilt
Director: Joseph Losey
Year Released: 1956
Rating: 2.0
Richard Basehart's American-in-exile filmmaker (Losey himself?) receives suicidal threats from a woman who claims to be a former lover, and since he doesn't remember her he isn't sure if he's losing his mind or she's lying. Unlikely scenario gets played out as best as it possibly can - coincidences pop up in the likeliest places to keep the guessing game going - until the mystery is finally solved. The cast is decent but they cannot compensate for the script's mediocrity.
