Pink Flamingos

Director: John Waters
Year Released: 1972
Rating: 0.0

John Waters' trashy cult favorite is an amateurish, cheesy, wacky spectacle. In one of the trailers for the film, a randy moviegoer said he thought it was better than Cries and Whispers. Not on your life. Critic Roger Ebert gives it no stars by default, and I suppose he's right. I don't hate it - it is kinda fun some times - but you feel like you need a shower following the screening. Waters himself is so damned interesting and composed - I keep hoping he'll try making a "regular" movie one day, just for the hell-of-it. [Rating Not Applicable]
