One From the Heart

Director: Francis Ford Coppola
Year Released: 1982
Rating: 1.0

Visually extravagant but emotionally dead portrait of two lovers fighting with each other, finding new people and then reuniting. While the intention to use theatrical elements in the cinema is compelling - and so is the set design, which recreates Las Vegas so it's even gaudier and brighter than usual - the lead actors look lost in the most of the scenes, and the screenplay and dialogue are, for Coppola, unusually weak.
