Director: Trey Parker
Year Released: 1997
Rating: 0.0
The only difference between this and something you'd film using your home camcorder is that Trey Parker uses Arriflex cameras instead of a Sony 8mm. Hell, most of the stuff I see on America's Funniest Home Videos is funnier than this trash. The 'plot' involves Parker, a strict Mormon, starring in a porn video ... and from there it goes nowhere. One or two cheap laughs aside (one involving a hamster, the other a prolonged but funny running gag with Matt Stone), this is a waste of film. While normally I would go off on a tangent about how Parker has no talent and he can't write for shit, this is simply not the case. As a matter of fact, I think he's unbelievably gifted. He and Stone are the masterminds behind the wickedly funny South Park television show on Comedy Central and, most recently, the film version of South Park (which is one of the most insidiously funny and socially critical movies I've seen in a long time). This is probably is something Parker needed to get out of his system (pun sadly intended) before he could move on to bigger, better projects.
