Zeder
Director: Pupi Avati
Year Released: 1983
Rating: 0.5
Shallow, unoriginal muck - the movie starts off without a first act and the ending is junk: when everyone's dead, roll the credits. Seriously, some of the most basic rules of filmmaking and storytelling are just flubbed, and this is from a filmmaker who's been making movies for several decades. No wonder fans of the giallo genre and Euro-horror make such a big deal out of Argento and Fulci - as flawed and silly as their B-movies were (Fulci's dead, Argento's slowed down considerably), at least they got a few things right (and every once in a while made a movie that clicked). There is nothing of value here.
