Teenie Mitsuko (Reina Triendl) is on a school bus with her classmates when a sharp wind (literally) tears the roof off and kills everyone but her - she escapes back to school to find it never really happened ... oh, and she's multiple people trapped in one person. Because she's in an alternate world/video game. Or something. "Aggressively dumb" is a phrase I do not feel bad about placing on this, since it's clear it (a.) doesn't make any sense and (b.) Sono and Yƻsuke Yamada, who "wrote" the "script," never thought for a second how any of this was supposed to go together. The abundance of (comical) gore and upskirt shots could appeal to a Midnight Movies crowd, although sleepiness doesn't lower the IQ enough to make it good: "surrealism" should never translate to "let's be random!"
