Director:  Robert Greene
Year Released:  2014
Rating:  1.5

Greene's "documentary" (quotation marks very, very necessary) revolves around stage and screen actress Brandy Burre (or should that be "Brandy Burre"?) - who worked on the HBO show The Wire (she reminds everyone of this) - as she tries to return to work as a performer and still be a mother (while allegedly having an affair on her too-reserved partner). Might have had more of an impact on me if I wasn't questioning its 'truthfulness'/integrity every minute: Greene gives out more than one hint it may not be entirely factual (the one 'ad' she responds to sounds like it could have been made by Greene; the title of the film is another clue), so when Burre ends up with a 'facial bruise' and claims it was from falling on her face I kept wondering whether it was just good makeup. The blur between fact and fiction can work with some features, but then you add to it Greene's theatrical embellishments and I felt more conned than enlightened: actresses ... can't trust them at all, can you?
