The Treasure of the Living Dead

Director: Jesús Franco
Year Released: 1982
Rating: 0.0

Hilariously inept zombie horror film from prolific, powerfully untalented Franco, about a research team trying to uncover hidden treasure buried by (surprise, surprise!) Nazis in Africa. Franco has a hard enough time telling one story with precision, so how anyone figures this illogical mash-up of random scenes edited together is supposed to make a lick of sense is beyond me and the "zombies" in question look like roadies for some '70s rock band who woke up in a pile of mud (except for the "zombie" that's just a skeleton head puppet). The "EuroShock Collection" cover art features what is obviously a penis with arms crawling out of the sand - no such giant phallus is anywhere in the movie, I'm afraid to report.
