Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Director: David Yates
Year Released: 2007
Rating: 1.5

Protracted Potter piffle that's more set-up and little revelation. The key subplot of this one has Imelda Staunton stepping in as a nut job administrator trying to institute Standards and Revise the way the kids are being taught (oh, No Child Left Behind, how we hate you), which is a rather ineffectual swipe at education reform. Keeping with the pattern (and these movies are good at patterns), there are a handful of new characters that appear almost out of nowhere, including Evanna Lynch as the Ralph Wiggum of Hogwarts. Yates makes sure to throw in some shots of Ginny Weasley eyeing Harry from afar ... and we all know where that's going to lead....
