Beerfest

Director: Jay Chandrasekhar
Year Released: 2006
Rating: 0.5

Really, really desperate zero common-denominator 'guy movie' from the Broken Lizard troupe about some secret drinking competition in Germany that takes place "beneath" the traditional Oktoberfest. Look, I understand it's supposed to be stupid, and I understand that the filmmakers understand it's supposed to be stupid, but maybe a droplet of cleverness or two in the stale brew may have helped this effort tremendously. Or, to get down to it, if you find the idea of Cloris Leachman or Donald Sutherland doing terrible German accents or a scientist jerking off a frog to be terrifically funny, this just might be your thing. My thing: Jürgen Prochnow complaining about spending too much time in underwater vessels.
