The Fearless Vampire Killers, or: Pardon Me, But Your Teeth Are in My Neck

Director: Roman Polanski
Year Released: 1967
Rating: 0.5

Unfortunately, the funniest thing about the film is its title! Roman Polanski is a fine filmmaker, and a good screenwriter, but this comedy-parody of the vampire film genre is really a wreck. If it tries to be a comedy, it completely fails, and its attempts at humor are forced and goofy (Jack MacGowran's role as Prof. Abronsius in the lead is simply horrible). I didn't even laugh once. I can't even say its campy enough to be considered a cult hit, like Paul Morrissey's ludicrous Blood for Dracula.
